No. If you are signed up as a Tasker, you are considered an independent contractor for Sydetasker. Taskers are able to set their own hourly rates, total task prices, schedules, type of work, & work location.

• For tax purposes, Taskers are considered Sole Proprietors so they are required to pay income & self-employment tax.
• Taskers are responsible to pay for all personal income taxes made through Sydetasker.



Business Expenses

Since you are reporting your own income, this means that you can also write off business expenses that are affiliated with your work through Sydetasker.

There are also apps that can track all of your business expenses like Expensify or keeping track of your receipts through an app called Shoebox.
